Have you ever received the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart and life? This is the most important decision you will ever make.
God loves you deeply and has a purpose for your life.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 (KJV)
Every person has sinned and fallen short of God's holy standard. Our sin separates us from Him.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 (KJV)
God created man in His own image and gave us the ability to choose. But we have chosen sin, and that sin keeps us from fellowship with God.
Sin must be paid for. The Bible is clear:
“For the wages of sin is death…” Romans 6:23 (KJV)
The payment for sin is death—eternal separation from God in hell. Without Christ, we are lost forever.
The good news is that Jesus Christ took your place. He bore your sins on the cross, died, and rose again. He lives today and offers you forgiveness and eternal life.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 (KJV)
Salvation is not earned; it is a gift received by faith. You must personally believe and call upon the Lord.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:9–13 (KJV)
If you believe these truths, you can pray sincerely to receive Christ:
“Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I know that if I died today I would not go to Heaven. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose again. I ask You to forgive me, come into my heart, and be my Savior. Help me to live for You from this day forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
When you receive Christ, you are given eternal life. You can know for sure that you are saved.
“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” 1 John 5:11–13 (KJV)
