Proverbs 30:5

5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Yesterday in removing strongholds, we saw that the right spiritual weapons involve the armor of God.

One part of the armor we discussed was the shield of Faith. 

I told y’all the picture Paul was painting was of a Roman soldier in those days. The shield they used was big enough to cover their bodies to protect them from arrows of the enemy. 

So Paul said take the shield of faith and use it  to protect themselves from the fiery darts of the devil. 

“It isn’t enough to know every word of God is pure if you don’t take the next step and trust Him as your shield.”

Have you made time for His word this morning to keep trusting in it as a shield?
